DAY 2 Part 2, Manukan Island, Sabah.

im back in continuing my post for my trip to Kota Kinabalu September 09 yea many months back. well. i need to finish this post. since i have little time. i will try post some pics for u, readers. enjoy.

After the rain has stop at Sapi Island. our next stop is Manukan Island. no sun after then rain. so pics result might vary.

at the entrance. camwhore shot.. CYnthia and Crystal was already inside.

we were hungry. so we searched for foods. either u eat simple fast food. or dine at the cafe or restaurant. u go ahead and pick. NOTHING IS CHEAP THERE.

and this is the RM8 coconut pudding. NAH!

we wanted to dine at the cafe. but no one hiu us so we left. maybe we look darn poor. its ok lah 3 person share fast food. save money little bit hahah.

and this cost RM14, about the same wad divided by 3. cheaper ler.

after lunch. snorkeling time again. and Tim again will be Tim.

yea.. ppl around tot i was crazy.. they kept looking.

left my camera there and we continue snorkeling. LARGER FISH. more fishes. scary weh ahhaha.. fish so big. bite ppl kok.

after a tiring snorkel we have some rest. The boat boy asked us wanna go back early or not. if theres enuf ppl then we can go back to Jesselton earlier. yes no yes no.. NAH its ok lah.. we wait till 4. it was 2 something..

still wanna enjoy the scenery of the beach tho there wasn’t any sun..

i was tired. but i had fun of course. yea i was having a great time!

luckily no more bumpy ride. kinda phobia tho…

well after the 2 island. we head back. Seafood time.

Day 2, KOTA KINABALU, SABAH

KOTA KINABALU SECOND DAY, DAY 2, HARI KE DUA, TEH JEE JIT

woke up quite early, getting ready for breakfast. those kuai lou at the LODGE dun go out one. they said save money waiting for flight in the next few days to INDONESIA. was having a small conversation with them, kepo haha. just curious.

Crystal came, and we had breakfast together. wanted to try the Beuford noodle but they havent star business yet.

so we walked opposite. to

KENG WAN HING.

Simple Ngau Chap, soup base.

Crystal ordered.

i ordered Kan lao noodle with Pork Chap,

nothing special lah ahha.

and Cynthia had their Yu Chap, preffered the one at Damai, still the best.

without any time wasted, we walk our way to Jesselton Point, where we pay for our boat trip to Sapi and Manukan Island. yea while waiting i took some photos.

on the wall are the History of the Jesselton Point.

the Brits forgotten to bring back the public phone..

wonder which one we are using. cos they are still arranging and waiting for more customer or more ppl in to ride with us to the same location.

and with a HELLO BOSS, BOAT SUDAH READY! PERGI JETTY SEKARANG.

EXPERIENCE 3. KK SPEED BOAT RIDE.

UNTIL I SAW THE WAVE INFRONT, we went up and THUUUUDDD! down. i terus transformed into a wuuuzz, kuai kuai sit down. ass hurts wei…

no more shooting till we saw SAPI ISLAND! CANTIK LAH!.

the Long Jetty. no lah not tat long lah ahah. excited weh!.

no fish but yes feeding. Crystal and Cynthia both also very excited.

and it was Cynthia’s first snorkeling TIME!. she was so nervous.

yeah! with my Puma INJEX 100 i no worry about stepping on sharp objects or sea creatures.

taking a deep breathe before heading in the water. and yes in i went. no shots taken for our session kekek. why? dunno why! hahaha. excited ma. Cynthia was so scared she terlantak the huge corals and scarred her legs bleeding. i kept on forcing her to lift her legs up kept repeating every time i get up. pity ba see her walking.

DUN WORRY U WILL AUTO FLOAT ONE LAH!. using LIFE JACKET WAD!

after some time she tried and yeah! feels good seeing her have fun!.

after snorkeling. i went walking around with my camera.

and saw the KOMODO DRAGONS. this one was feasting on LAMB CHOP BONES. the whole piece of tulang just swallow like tat. wahrao. how to digest oh.

look at the size… delicious weh. why no bbq komodo?!

and left my foot prints there.

another look before heading to the jetty waiting for out boat ride to MANUKAN ISLAND!.

and it rained. Praise the LORD for Cooling the weather for us, for some good 15 minutes.

dunno why they dun wanna come in. scared the boat left them ah. bo ko leng ma.

and waited.

around 7pm earlier just now. 30th of June. me and Cynthia with the rest of the 15 ppl went for a movie. oh one ffk-ed, i got there early. i reached earlier. to shoot the sunset effect. but its already after sunset. only a few minutes before darkness begins for the night starts.

here is wad i have. Shutter Speed: 1/5, F4.5 and some with F5.0, Manual Mode, ISO 400.

Mistery Island pt5

their fishing action that hot afternoon. bersabarlah.

jauh jauh sama dia. Adrian casting.

different ppl different style, heres Faizal.

and Danny.

Faizal caught the biggest fish tat afternoon. champion for that session.

Adrian losing patience cos of the hot sun. terbaring there.

this is how u should pull ur line when it gets stuck on the rocks.

and the sun is setting down. we have to head back before night fall. if not kenot see anything later.

i only start shooting the sunset when i get back to camp area. cos its a long walk and im quite tired already. cos im exhausted and i need water.

so shots for sunset. when the sun is going down. hey pretty fast oh.

soon it will hide behind the mountain area.

i just love the color.

jiu lai jiu eh liaw hahaha.

getting smaller already. the lighting effects on the clouds are very beautiful.

yay!. the sun almost kenot see liaw.

and its gone. look at the clouds. isn’t tat amazing?

i jumped too! first time jumping during sunset ahah…

camp fire is set…. lets play a little slow shutter speed with tripod. its getting dark and i cant see shit. i din bring torch light. so i need some of them to shine theirs to me while i walk around. they bought the head led lights. very bright oh.

with slower shutter speed. 5 secs.

the camp fire where i do my fish spa. i cant continue fish spa cos they potong the fishes they caught there. dang. water dirty already. haih.

bbq fire is ready. and its red hot.

this is my part to kepo, bbq chicken wing.

and the yummilicious stone grill 3 layer pork. wuzeh cant wait. they marinade it in the sea water.

when u throw a rock on the camp fire and with 30secs slow shutter speed. this is the effect ur gonna get.

take 2. damn nice rite ahhaah.

and Wee wrote hes name with the led head lights.

and pork is ready WOOTSZ! and its so crispy chia chia hochiak! next bbq i wanna borrow the stone from LIM ahhah cos he bought some back. and will stone grill at home yo ahahhah! me is gonna love it!

during feasting, i din take much photo cos both my hands are dirty and oily from the food. so after food. CHIAK PA AI KHUN. look at sim. it was dark so we just randomly take photo. suddenly when i see my viewer I SAW A TERRORIST AHHAHAHAH!!! cover hes face like tat ahahha. he said lots of mosquitos. yea hes right. i did bring jacket but tat time was quite hot. and hard to sleep. luckily i brought my lampe there to chase them away ahhaah. around 2am baru got wind then i can sleep but hor. i din get much sleep cos. theres a HUGE BOAT SLEEPING NEXT TO ME! OMG!!! snored like crap i can even sleep!. not only me, SIM, BEH TAHAN TOO AHAHAH!

7am i went to shoot sunrise.

Mistery Island Pt 4

SLOWMYX SUCKS! I CAN HARDLY LOAD THE PHOTOS AND SURFING THE NET, DANG!

I know some of u are already bored of the pics ive posted. i took over 900 shots. so i’ve got many more to post up. so here i am. walking thru the rocks. some are very slippery. i almost fell. but i know how to control my balance and think fast. i forgotten to count the rocks i stepped. if u ask me to walk on flat surface for 2 hours or more i dun think i have a problem. but on huge uneven rocks like tat. man its exhausting. cos im carrying my camera with the tripod. but i push myself somehow.

Lim’s line got sangkut beneathe the rocks. cos Ikan Kerapu are smart fish. when they are attacked by something or when they got caught by the fishing line. the will rush under the rocks. thats where the line got stucked. so he need to unhook the bait from the rock to save the hook.

is this a rock or a freaking huge coral. i have no clue. got such big coral mer.

nah the whole thing. geli or not…

then i took some rest while the rest are fishing away. i climbed up where theres trees and hiding under it away from the sun for a while. i cant see camp already. at this point my mind somehow asked me to turn back to camp cos it was so freaking hot. and i cant get thru to the other side cos theres at least 4 foot of height between me and the slippery rocks below. and not many space to get grip or balancing cos water is rushing and hard to balance. so i didn’t dare to take the risk. i stayed here for a while.

thats the other side tat im talking about. yea im quite high above them. cos i wanna get away from the sun for awhile and to catch my breath.

the sharp and edgy rocks beside me, need to lean against it slowly. if not sakit oh.

Danny insisted tat i must go over to their side. i tot they were already there. but he said further up, wahrao eh… how far or how near is ur further up wor. we almost walked half of the island already oh. then he came to help me and i got thru… i tot i was going to fall at some point when the water rushed up.

im wearing long sleeves under the hot sun.. luckily i din wear singlet ah or else my sticker will be tanned as well. ahah.

Mistery Island Pt3.

after taking many shots of the sceneries. i took some rest and saw this small area with water and with many small fishes. right away i tot of , hey maybe i try NATURAL FISH SPA. fish spa usually cos about RM30 and above each session if im not mistaken. it was about 2pm. everyone under the shed. except for me. haahah. so i sat down.

put both my legs in and wait. those fishes came slowly. getting nearer and nearer. more and more came. yala yala no hair la no hair la.

zoom in. 2 eating away. hahah. a little ticklish la. and some area hurts.

More came. and it gets more and more ticklish. ahhaha.

wonder when was the last time they had such great meal ahah.

other species wanted to come over but doesn’t dare. hmm.. kenot share one mer? i was waiting for them to come over but they didn’t.

after the fish spa hehe. i went to see them do the survivor mode fire starter. Lim first shaved the skin of the old tree bark.

closer look of it. need small pieces to start the fire with the Flint that they bought. the parang besar oh.

two ways to light a fire. one is using a magnifying glass and the other

using a knife to carve out the flint from the edge. for quite an amount

and the other size is the i dunno wad u call tat. u use a sharp object, a knife, to shave it then will spark some light and will make some fire.

but errr… we live life in the city. so we run out of patience real fast. seriously. real fast. after 3 or 4 tries. they gave up ahahah. i laughed my ass off so hard ahahahha!

in the end. lighter la di pakeh sidak ya ahhahaha.

after trying to light the fire. Danny asked me to follow them for fishing competition. yea fish for dinner man ahhaha! i din bring my rod. so i follow him like he said very beautiful scenery to shoot at. ok lo. and i didnt expect the distance and the level of difficulty of walking on rocks. i just AOK AJA LA! LETS GO!.

with no regrets i start. first 10minutes im alrite. minus the hot sun baking me from behind. lucky for me i wore a cap. and unlucky for me im not using sun tanned lotion. yea so i knew im gonna get sunburn. just tat i dunno how bad its gonna turn out to be. and i also dunno how far is the place he wanted me to shoot too.

this is how far am i from our camp. and im quite tired also.

edgy big rocks. and FYI im using slippers to walk around here. din bring any shoes.

bright sun. bbq-ing me. and thanks for the bright sun too i can take nice pictures.

i can see this seaweed, some sort i think ahhaha.. alot of them when we were swimming at the shore.

Mistery Island pt2.

after getting things out from the boat. without wasting time after i place my bag in the shade. i start walking around without tanned lotion. everyone hid under shades from the sun. me. hmph. ahhaah! i walked around taking photos like a paparazzi. non stop till someone shouted HOI NOT HOT AH? err dun feel when im busy ler ahahha!.

here i sacrificed my skin to get these photos taken.

clear. as in very clear water. those rocks u see there. its so slippery. i fell down into the water. luckily my camera didnt kena water. hurt my palm. bled abit cos i hit the rock. to support myself without falling down worst.

im standing on a knee high level. and i still can see the rocks below. even a 10feet deep water i still can see the rocks below.

Sampadi Island with B.O.X

we bring u to the best place where the Tourism Board cant bring you. nor any tourism company will introduce to you, or ever wanna bring u there when u insist. but They from the B.O.X they organize a trip to those untouched places especially beautiful waterfalls, no not Rancang pool or Matang. names u never heard of.

but here. is Sampadi Island. for photographers who loves to take scenery shots. here is the place that makes u feel like ur in your dreams.

for example this view.

tho these are just images taken. but. imagine if u are there. feel the ambiance the wind the sound of the waves. wooozeeehhh… a place where u leave ur stress away and all the things behind u. imagine standing there closing ur eyes. eh damn chun ler.

i helped them to intro to the world about wad Kuching is all about. we do not have beautiful beaches, but we have this. and our waterfalls. not as large as niagrafalls but our own.

Camping at Sampadi island. oh usually. for Sampadi Island. they spend the night there.

Pilgrimage at Mt Singai Bau.

2 days before this trip mom asked and told me tat theres a Pilgrimage trip to Mt Singai on Saturday. i said IM ON! the last time i went was 10 years ago. secondary school trip, yes 10 years ago. a decade.

woke up at 6am, get ready, Tings Godmother will come and pick us up. i was so excited. 10 years wei when i was age 15 around there la eheh.

had breakfast. and head there at 830 am. Mt Singai. from far.

Its the road on the way to Bau. roads are good. unlike 10years ago. bumpy ride all the way. now roads are so smooth already. and reach there so fast.

side view. i dun like to take scenery shots in kch cos of the cable wires. ALL THE WAY!.

when we got there. at the entrance.

ini baru kampung. mountain! LOOK AT ALL THE TALL TREES!… below is durian tree. so high up.

The small bridge, getting nearer to the mouth of the mountain.

the first thing i did when i got there. is to look up. yes. looking for tree barks or dead bark. a good and perfect weather. and to take good shots like this pic below. around 9am

and also a very very tall Papaya tree. and the sky is so the very blue.

Pilgrims are earged to bring a bag of sand or a box of tiles or a piece of 2×4 wood, or a piece of wooden ceiling for the project building a house at the Pilgrimage centre, meaning another centre is to build there for ppl who wants to stay over night.

Bro took a box of tiles. mom took 2 plastic bag of tiles, 2 in each. i took my camera bag, and a bottle of drink behind and my camera infront, so i din take any of those. cos i cant take it while shooting.

we have a choice. if u cant take its ok. theres 300 over pilgrims there ok.

and the Journey begins.

Pilgrims from all ages are welcome. for as long as u dun kao peh half way up then its ok. here we have the youngest pilgrim, a 5 month old baby Shirley, anak kepada GodDaughter Mak aku ahhaah!.

BAGSSSSSSSSSSsss of sand. some mofo went to say. NEXT TRIP LA I WILL BRING A BAG OF SAND UP. PROMISE I WILL.. wtf.. u dun wanna tak u say la. dun say next time. havent reach 1st station already talk like tat.

my bro took for me . cos he knew tat im gonna take alot of pics alot of angles up and down.

he was taking some shots at this tree. hes name is Lawrence. we talked about photography while we were there. and so i bagi dia namecard aku. and he said he will call me where theres another trip to another mountain place. and Mt Santubong is one of them. so got kangtao for the rest of the gang to be happy with me too! without them, any trip planned wont work ehheh.

after the Prayer from the first station the journey begins to the second station.

so many ppl ok. i rushed to the front to get this shots all the time. tats why im so tired. go up and down back to front to back. and go up again. effort ma.

banyak orang oh… and they said i take pic non stop, which is very true. my first time taking pics there ok! of cos la non stop.

Inbetween Siar and Pandan Beach.

after the Kampung Pueh Beach trip we head back home due to the drizzling.
while we hang out, Monica’s cousin drop by,
and i can’t stop staring at him, sorry,
cos u know why,
