JJ WESTERN CUISINE, DAMAI, KOTA KINABALU, SABAH.

Crystal promised to bring us there to have her favorite Western Cuisine place. cheap and affordable.

and yea before her Youth Ministry Practice, we headed there for our dinner around 7pm.

When i started shooting they thought i was a reporter, and obviously they know im not a local there.

wahhaha..

Looking at the lamb shoulder i asked, wow uncle so big piece of meat u use.

he answered: if u we dun do like this customer complain, if we do expensive they also complain

so we make the portion big and affordable.

on the pan is mine and Crystal’s Lambchop also Cynthia’s Mix Grill, first thing that came to my mind.

HOW TO FINISH?!

taukeh: we use our own special marinade and spices. yes it taste real good.

here’s my Lamb CHop, mushroom sauce. DELICIOUS!!!

owh. i so wanna go back and eat..

This is Cynthia’s mix grill, Lamb, Chicken and Beef. she was bloated after tat.

After Crystal finished with her Youth Meeting, we went to Frenz Cafe with her mom.

a very nice and cozy place to hang out with yer friends.

when we was there, it was packed, so packed that we are about to leave. but i saw an empty table at the side,

and i said, EH TAT TABLE CAN USE ONE OR FOR DISPLAY ONLY?

and yes, right away got place to sit. wahahahha. ASSHOLE!

Peach Cheese Cake. nice.

Blueberry cheese Cake. Delicious. their bubble milk tea also very nice.

and especially their mushroom soup. SEDAP SKALEIIII!!!!

sorry for not updating for so so so long, i dun do much shooting all this while. and my D40 went kookooo.. so i got myself a new camera, D300s body only.

well here are the pics from it i took this evening. not very nice sunset but well im just getting to know the new body.

very clear and bright. sharpness is awesome.

went for badminton last nite.

shot AhYang my house cat while she was cleaning herself up kekek. actually waiting for mommy to come home.. laying by the gate. well she dunno tat mom is at Santubong and so she waited till dawn.

my babeh bought new HP, Nokia 5530, wonder when will i get my first handphone. yea. never in my life i buy a phone man. never once. kesian hor.

my 26th Bday. at Capital Seafood, Kuching.

Celebrating my 26th with the Gang, at Capital Seafood @ ABC FOOD CENTRE KUCHING, just a simple gathering. with the early birds.

ChenKY, Gordon the Premium man, me and Philip.

usually for normal set diners, ur crabs gonna come on the last dish. or in the middle. i ordered 4kg, some haven’t arrived yet. so we split 2kg for us 2kg for them and 2 different style of cooking.

so CRAB COMES FIRST ahahha!.

this is Steam Crab with Egg and liquor. the soup is SUPEr SWEET. cos of the liquor. DELICIOUS!!!

5 huge crabs.

Second dish was the Oyster Omelette, Ochien (wet Style) love it!

Alvin said tat he din do this expression for a long time d ahha.

3rd dish. when this came i have to ask the kitchen to slow down ahha. cos table is not tat big to put everything thats gonna come.

Honey Pork RIbs? im not sure.. something new in their menu. it taste good tho.

actually there were Foochow Noodles and Midin with red wine, but erm every hands were dirty at that time so no photos.

and the final dish for the ppl who came late! Sweet and Spicy Crabs, they love spicy food. so i ordered for them lor haha.

CHRISTMAS DAY Celebration.

Merry Christmas everyone, may the birth of Christ Jesus brings you love, joy, peace and happiness in your family.

my first time celebrating christmas in a Convoy visiting haha. yea. previous years we only sleep and laze around at home. and this year i din bring my camera out throughout the day, LAZY MA.

went to 7 houses. ppl from the BOL community. bloat myself with delicious food prepared by their families. thank you all for inviting. have a blessed christmas.

pic below is me Voon family dinner at my Aunt’s house.

a very simple dinner. Lamb leg, American Turkey, Potato Salad, and vege salad.

and the cutest gift this year was the paper craft made by Nolan Chang.

effort + patience = Nolan Chang LOL. yea. this thing might look simple. but looking closely to it. man its not easy work.

Celebrating the 7th Anniversary

flowers? NAH! Present? NAH, Feasting? YEAH!

this year November 30th marks our 7th anniversary.

wow. 7 heaven, the Lord has bless us throughout our years together. i praise him for being there for us through the good times and also the down times.

and this year is our 7th, yes SEVEN, TUJUH TAHUN hahah..

actually time really flies. like in a blink of eyes. how dunno how we made it this far but with much faith from both parties i believe its

LOVE.

so for healthy relationship and years to come. this year we celebrate with healthy food. LOL. SUSHI at SANGA. yeah.

our 7th year together, but our first time dining here together.

dress code: Casual, those dressing up themselves for a very special event type, hmm those are still in Puppy Love mode lmao.

Relationship thing, i dunno how to share. if ur in a relationship and how to celebrate ur anniversary. its not how fancy u dress up, its not how u spent ur dinner or ur highly expensive gifts.

FIRST,KOTA KINABALU, SABAH TRIP

Hello there readers, young and old, im back to blogging. its been awhile since you last saw me writing a post. has been busy. and I’m really sorry.

Here, our first time to KOTA KINABALU, SABAH BAH!

Me together with Cynthia, our Purpose to KK was initially to attend the Youth Rally Passing on the Faith with Father Stan Fortuna CFR, invited by the LJCC from the United States.

Since it’s our first time stepping foot in KK. we went there 2 days earlier and a day later, to visit KK of course. Also Flights are cheaper. hehe.

Anxiously waiting for the Gate to open, wanna board and fly to KK BAH!

Online Check in Boarding Pass. its always too long.

oh i left my camera at the overhead baggage area. so i did not take any photos on our way there ahah. but Cynthia did. and she took some amazing shots with her Lumix compact.

we reached KK International Airport around 1030am, but we only left the airport around 1145am due to

EXPERIENCE NO1 in kk : Car battery Problem, car couldn’t start

under the hot sun we waited for Crystal’s brother to come and help us out with the Jumper.

Finally the Car Started, and we are on our way to KK. Crystal said if ur using a taxi dun say go pasak. say go KK. if u say go pasak the taxi driver will bring u to nearest pasar, we must say KK, so tat the driver will bring u to the city.

the Lord sent the loving and caring Crystal to save us, by bring us around KK for the 5 days we were there. thank you very much and we miss you a lot here.

so Crystal brought us to town to meet her parents up for lunch.

and we are at Damai, yes, Damai in KK is a place packed with ppl, working or business ppl, and FOOD. YES FOOD. GOOD FOOD. searching for parking is hard. we need to turn few rounds to get one. and thank god we finally found one.

and coffee shops in KK DUN SERVE GREEN TEA! WHY WHY WHY? I DUN UNDERSTAND!

so Coke i ordered.

the Shop we had , Yu Chap / Fish Chap.

Fish Chap contains: Fish Ball, Fresh Fish, Fish Egg, Fish Cake, tofu and yes its very fresh and delicious. serves with beehoon or noodle or kueh tiaw at ur own choice.

YES, i now craving for it. sorry i dunno how much it cost cos Uncle Voo paid for it , Crystal told me its RM5 pper bowl of this yummilicous

after lunch, we head to the place we are gonna stay for the next 5 days.

MRS VOO drove in to show us the compound of UM, yes its very big and nice.

after tat we went to 1Borneo, heard its the biggest shopping mall in east malaysia, hmm how true. my friends told me about it and say i have to drop by. and thanks to Aunty we did.

at first glance, ITS SO MIDVALLEY ahahah! or i just miss KL.

one thing tat caught my attention, NO ASS PUT FAKE ASS LO. hahaha.. wonder how comfortable will it be sitting down. and got cup size wan ka?

also got Big Apple Donuts, no i did not try ahah.

the escalator if u fall its gonna be a long way down.

not i want to say wan, kan very midvalley kan?

also they had an event for B BOYS, it was for later that night but we left around 4. here are some very skilled Bboy freestyling. Malaysia VS KOREA.

A Must Try, bought some 4 pcs to try first. and i regretted not getting more. ahaah it was so YUMMY SO JUICY. thanks to those who asked me to try.

RM1.10 each. small but worth it. as in VERY WORTH IT. ONE IS NEVER ENOUGH.

and we left. honestly i was melting already, KK is indeed a very HOT CITY.

back to the Lodge, we had some rest and i took some shots of the DOTT’s Egg tart.

look at the filling. THICK RITE?! SEEING IS BELIEVING.

Michael Lo the owner of Stay In Lodge told me that this Clock tower still standing since WW II, Chris, good idea for making craft man.

this clock tower is right behind the Lodging place we stayed. so i can zoom in a little. yea we stayed at the 3rd floor.

3 X 5days is 15 storey

15 X 4times a day = 60 storeys, THATS EXERCISE FOR 5 DAYS MAN!

so im not worry about food consumed cos i burn calories going up and coming back down.

Before Dinner, we head to MENARA PEMERHATI BUKIT BENDERA, for a sun set view, and also the view of the whole KK CITY.

she dropped us off at one of the shopping complex and we walked around that area till…

Experience 2 in KK: WE GOT LOST ahahah! walk till kenot find our way back. never quit walking, tot of knowing the way back by recognizing the building, me and cynthia kept walking, for about an hour, taxi passed also dun wanna sit. ppl around also dun wanna ask. actually we were quite near our place jsut tat we were are the wrong lorong or junction, up and down the whole stretch, till fatigue and called Crystal, called her and she told us that we are very near our place. and yes indeed thank God, its Just 100m away from where we stood. PHEW!we were praying this ” Lord, Please guide us to the Lodge we were staying, and yes our prayer answered, tho we gave up walking and called.

and so tats the end of our First day!

Durian MoonCake

Few weeks ago. yea weeks yo! i havent been updating ahah.. cant find the right time. kinda lost the spark to update. cos i cant find the words.

ok my excuse. FB ADDICTION LOL!

since ive so much to update. and since im gonna go KK. why not update something better than nothing before the month end.

AHAH!. here is the Moon Cake that my neighbour Yien gave me. went to her house to collect. normally u make u send rite..

long time no use mini studio d liaw ahha.. so went to take some shots. actually i wanted to eat it already till i tot of shooting some pics of it.

thats why already sliced haha.

Durian Flavor Moon Cake. i suppose ready made paste and only need to MASTER the skin rite?

Mom likes durian but not durian moon cake. so i ate the whole thing by myself LOL!.

1 is never enuf ahahha.. i finish this portion in less than half and hour.

and yes. i like it. cos i like it less sweet. and it is. so its nice.

some are too sweet. Yien can Make More ma? HAHAH!

some from the Gang was invited by Mr Edwin Then to have a trial hair cut by the crew from Essensuals, im one of them. i was asked to blog about this a week before, erm i was bz throughout the week even last weekend. so, now i found some time. so might as well. since i haven’t been updating LOL!.

The Official Grand Opening will be this coming Wednesday. which is on the 9th of September 2009, wow 090909. starting 6pm. do drop by if u can.

Location: Precinct 88 Jalan Song.

Very easy to find. right opposite the church at Jalan Song.

was rushing myself there. traffic was bad. well its a friday.

hairstylist: Chien, the one who did YienYien and and Sharon i think.

Before, ok. i want my hair to be simple and need not to do any styling using any mud or mold or wadever product. simple and nice.

2 Premiums together with me getting their trials hair cut.

our purpose there is to try it experience it and blog about it.

he was checking my scalp.

hair wash time. i prefer hair wash when sitting up. lying down quite uncomfortable. but the massage was good. VIBRATE summore ahah.

after hair wash and massage. time for the real deal is to style my hair.

Im so sick of the overpriced western food in kuching. no quality control, and not affortable.

wanted to bring my family for a treat, but i dunno where should i bring. SEAFOOD AGAIN? NAH.

its been awhile now. so i decided to go to.

CARVERY, Pending, Kuching.

Western Food Buffet, yea.. the last time i came here was 10 years ago. or more than tat… when it first open and my uncle brought us there.

and last month. i tot of wanted to bring my mom and bro and Cynthia to eat. and my God mother wanna tag along too.

On a Tuesday evening. the only time where my younger bro is free.

Bread was the No.1 starter on the table. and no im not gonna eat tat as starter cos its very filling. especially when u dip it in ur soup.

My Starter Pack haha!. a little bit of everything hahaha!.

First Meat, yes this is a Meat BUFFET, RM45 per pax eat all u like.

Lamb Chop. very yummy yo!

then the chicken wing. just ok.

and Mussels, i had 2 cos Cynthia don’t like mussels.

Beef something ahhah forgotten hahah which comes 4th.

5th is my favorite, LAMB SHOULDER! and taste PERFECT! woozeh! really really nice. haven’t tasted lamb shoulder this good for a very long time yo!.

i was quite afraid of the knife, mana tau later phiu chiu. scary wei!

thin but long slice hahah…

9th was Turkey ham and chicken errr ahaha!.

my mom consumed too much meat. she needs vege .

10th Sirloin Steak, a very juicy one. slightly over cook. but still taste good.

11th, i lupa wad is it d ahah! its LAMB _ _ _ _ _ _ ….

sedap sekali lah! the waitress wasn’t in a good mood. so she said in a very low voice of wad was it and left. but this reddish meat taste great. not all things fully cook taste good. some u eat it half done or medium rare. taste better than fully cooked. do u agree?

my muka starting to pucat ahaha!. and slowing my eating pace d.

and then the 13th SMOKED CHICKEN! it been awhile since i tasted smoked chicken where u put the chicken in to ur mouth and u really love the smoky taste and the aroma of it.. so worth it!. even my bro loves it.

dunno who kenot eat give to me lo…

YUMMY! u hungry yet? no lah. finish dinner liaw ma.

14th that i had. Fish and Egg. and this one really suck ahhah!.

i missed a few cos i was so bloated d. and this is how bloated i am.

I QUIT!. IM DONE!. I HAD ENUF.

That Sunday was Jonas Wong’s Full Moon. why i say that becos i forgotten which sunday was it.. some 2 weeks back i think ahahah…

Location: 3 Point, Padungan.

Lunch. Some of the Gang were invited. i was one of them. eheh..
