Sunday evening, wanted to go to church early at 5pm, excitedly driving along the 7thstorey flat, i saw the water rising from their drains. i thought only tat area, but after the cornering to church, i saw water, at least 1 foot deep of water, St. Peter’s Church became an island ahah!. everyone who wanted to go for mass tat day left outside wondering whether theres still mass or not? HELLLOOO!!!? DUH!!! of cos la mass canceled, wad a bonus question.
i haven’t seen this situation for a long time. The last time was like wad 1993. where i wanna go to skool and went back eventually cos my school was submerged like i floor. seriously back then was great! yea my primary school was right behind tat church.
today , Tuesday 13 January 2009, is the Third day of the King Tide, prepare for this. evacuation? no need la i think…all depends on mother nature.

look at that guy walking in the flooding area, kepo? not? trying to help? maybe. look at how deep the water is? knee high… so about 2 feet or so.
and trying to zoom in as close as possible to see whether the water went in the church or not. not that much i think, hopefully. and again, its been awhile since i last saw. even the RHB bank area was flooding, some say it reaches half of the Proton Wira car and also the the Toyota Avanza parked there.
look at my kindergarten, the whole church area was under water.
those who got stucked in church, the ppl who went earlier than us. around 4pm, was rescued by the driver of the van, ppl from church i guess.
and the first time ever, i saw Kuching Water Front like this.

take a look at the jetty opposite the water front. river water was very fast. those ppl there were stuck. i think lu olang balik tido better la. i saw a motorboat wanna cross tat river, and it was going side ways, and the current was so damn strong, geli i see ahah… and was imagining the worst.
tourist attraction? no? look at them being all so dramatic! haha! snapping all the way. but the water level was very high tho.
but this situation really scare the living shit out of ppl in kuching. like my brother who just got hes license, got stucked at sekama and called me asking me how to go home, and i said DRIVE HOME, ahhaahhah! he said hes stuck at mendu, U TURN LA DUH! use town area, and blah blah blah instructions from me to get hes freaked out ass home. I was home, dun dare to go out ahhahaha!.
wasnt scared, just dun wanna be part of the bullshit in town. but i sent some sms to frens where ever they are to be aware of the situations and DO NOT use some femes flood roads in town.
i did my part eheheheh…at least….
